at Valley Bible Church, located at 1350 Discovery Street, in San Marcos. Lee was known by many as a Bible-thumper to guitar-plunker, from "Wild Wood Flower" to jokes told by the hour, advice-giver, storyteller and horse whisperer. He shared with everyone his love of country music and Missouri Foxtrottin' horses. Self-taught, his musical talents included the guitar, banjo, fiddle, dobro, and harmonica. Each person he taught the guitar to learned the chords F.
and and how to flat pick "Wild Wood Flower." Even while on horseback his tunes rang out as he would serenade his horse along the trail with his harmonica. He was always quick to lend a hand, an ear or share a smile. And, though he was with us for what seems a short while, we will all remember his "show-me" smile. Doris C. Squier Doris C.
